The ufotable-produced animated video features several Japanese-born players currently playing in the MLB and will be expected to play in the MLB World Tour Tokyo Series. Some of the players featured in the video include the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, as well as the Chicago Cubs’ Shota Imanaga and Seiya Suzuki.

The video also features the voice work and narration of Demon Slayer’s Sakonji Urokodaki (voiced by Hochu Otsuka).

Hikaru Kondo (The Garden of Sinners 8 director, Ufotable president) served as chief director, contents planner, and scriptwriter for the video. Teiichi Takiguchi (Baki 25th Special Original Animation director and character designer et al.) worked as the director, storyboard artist, character designer, and animation director, with Yuichi Terao (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba compositing director) as storyboard artist and compositing director, Koji Eto (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba background art supervisor [Hashira Training Arc onwards]) as background art director, and Yuko Omae (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as color designer.

The MLB World Tour Tokyo Series will begin with pre-season games featuring NPB’s Hanshin Tigers and the Yomiuri Giants on March 15, 2025 and March 16, 2025. Afterwards, the opening games will kick off with an official match between the Dodgers and the Cubs on March 18, 2025 and March 19, 2025.

Special collaboration merch will also be available to order during the MLB Tokyo Series, with more details to come in the future.

Crunchyroll recently announced that the first film in the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy will premiere exclusively in U.S. and Canadian theatres on September 12, 2025. It will also be screened in IMAX and other premium large formats and will be available in both Japanese with English subtitles and English dub. The film will begin screening in Japan on July 18, 2025.

Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment are distributing the film worldwide, excluding Japan and select Asian territories.
