They're used in a lot of high-tier crafting—weapon improvements, tool upgrades, and base stations like the Gunsmith and Refinery—so if you plan on staying competitive in late-game raids, you'll need a steady supply. The catch is they don't come from basic scavenging or low-tier drones, so farming them takes a bit more planning ARC Raiders Coins.

The most consistent way to get Motion Cores is by taking down larger ARC units and dismantling their wreckage. Bastions and Bombardiers are some of the best targets because they're bulky and tend to break into multiple lootable parts when destroyed. They're the floating or rolling drones that project a visible blue beam, so you can usually spot them from a distance. Blue Gate works well for quicker, mobile farming runs. Surveyor beams are easy to spot in the open checkpoint and tunnel areas, and Bombardier patrols pass through regularly. It's a riskier map if you're solo because of exposed sightlines, but squads can sweep it fast and extract with a decent haul. Spaceport is less efficient overall since enemies are more spread out, though you can still find cores near wreckage or heavy patrol routes if other maps are crowded.

If farming feels inconsistent, crafting is your backup plan. Once your Refinery is upgraded, you can convert Arc Alloy into Motion Cores. It's not as exciting as hunting heavies, but it smooths out bad RNG streaks and gives you something productive to do with stored materials. Higher-tier Refinery upgrades improve efficiency, so long term it becomes a reliable supplemental source.

Most players end up mixing all these methods—hunting heavies, checking courier crashes, rotating maps after wipes, and crafting when supplies run low.
